Gravel inHome @ Nescio inHome

December 31, 2006

with an extra long weekend ahead I took one of the latest inHome devices with me after the friday ‘borrel’ to install and use it in my MCE addicted household …

The connection to my WiFi network, my PCs and Laptops around the house went as planned … very smooth … It automatically connected to my wife’s XP laptop for the happy vacation pictures, my XP laptop for the better music experience :p and with the Vista RTM no problemo at all for some other music and video. It also pops up nicely in my Network Map on Vista ….

I just tried to shoot a little movie about the installation, connection and sharing of content but my Microsoft Lifecam doesn’t have Vista drivers yet :p

So I will prep the shoot later today or tomorrow on new years day …..

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Commodoreworld and inHome shoot

December 22, 2006

Just before we hit the Xmas weekend and after my first Commodore Xmas Party last night ….. on great demand a shoot of Commodoreworld.com and a working inHome.

I took the Nokia of Imm0 shoot some clips, sometimes its not that sharp but its working.

You see me login to the Commdoreworld BETA site, check my profile and devices. When my device (the inHome) shows as active I turn on the device attached to our HD Flatscreen and browse the Commodoreworld on my TV. I watch the news, browse music, watch photos and a clip of George C.

All this content you see is not localy stored, but comes realtime from the Commodore Media DC into the building (or your house) over IP.

Next time i will show you how the sharing of playlists with your devices and friends will work on TV and on the Road.

Merry Xmas,

After months of internal testing the Cworld services we sent out invitations to a group of private beta’s today and hope to offer more logins in the coming weeks ….

maybe an idea to do some kind of registration for the next invitations. Maybe we will offer this first to the Dutch crew ….

cheers,

Time is flying *** again ***

December 5, 2006

It is scary to see that the last post is almost a month ago. Its not that nothing is happening here and no news to write. I can say the opposite is the truth.

We finalized the software for the inHome and now the last pieces for the inPocket are of for mass production. The hardware platform was completely implemented last night and the final test and content feeds are coming in. Exciting times are happening again in the Netherlands and than i of course mean Sinterklaas celebration tonight :p

Keep you posted when i find a pare moment behind my laptop(s).

 cheers,
